Let's get to know Beth! She's a hand painted balayage, blonding, and textured cutting specialist out of Helena, Montana. You can find her on Instagram at @bethkushhairstylist. I asked Beth a few questions so I could learn more about her and her journey. Check out our conversation below!!
+How long have you been doing hair?
16 years
+Tell me about yourself. Are you a salon owner? Booth renter? Commission stylist? What is your specialty behind the chair. What are your goals?
I own a salon called Moonstone Beauty Lounge in Helena, MT. I specialize in hand painted balayage, blonding and custom texturized cuts. My current goal is to continue to build my dream team with badass boss babes who know what they want to achieve with their business and are striving to make it happen.
+What's been the best advice you have ever received?

+What do you feel is your greatest strength?
My vision and determination for the salon I wanted to create, the follow through of bringing it to life. I wanted to create a space for women where they can relax and decompress. When they come to Moonstone they know they will receive high quality services. I want our clients to be heard and leave feeling like the best version of themselves. I feel like I have been able to bring this vision to reality and it makes me feel like a strong business owner.
+What advice do you have for other stylists?
Don't just be status quo, strive to be the best version of yourself behind the chair. Continuing education is key, evolving who you are and what you bring to the table. You will attract what you desire.
+What do you feel is the most valuable part of being a BCU member?
The amount of content is amazing! It will definitely take me some time to get through all of it, with the continuing addition content there's always more watch!
+Anything else you'd like to share?
Being successful in this industry is an evolution that takes time and energy. When you're starting your career it's so important to choose your salon family wisely. Finding a place that will help you grow and learn about the best was to build our business is key. There's so many facets of this industry that I think are overlooked that are equally important.
