Meet this week's BCU Featured Stylist! Hannah's work caught my eye because it's so soft and blendy!
Let's get to know Hannah! She's a blonding and lived-in color specialist out of Loomis, CA. You can find her on Instagram at @coloredbyhannah. I asked Hannah a few questions so I could learn more about her and her journey. Check out our conversation below!!
+How long have you been doing hair?

+Tell me about yourself. Are you a salon owner? Booth renter? Commission stylist? What is your specialty behind the chair. What are your goals?
I am a booth renter who specializes in blonding and lived-in color. I'm working on furthering my education on all things color & cuts! I love to learn as much as I can, especially in this industry. There is so much to learn always and it's never ending! Which I think makes it fun and exciting.
+What's been the best advice you have ever received?
To keep going! Even when things seem scary or you don't know what to do, always take a step back and reflect and ask as many questions as you can. The hair world can be very intimidating but also super fun so don't let anything get in your way and keep going!
+What do you feel is your greatest strength?
I think my greatest strength behind the chair is giving my clients knowledge on all things hair health! It's surprising many people don't know alot of things you think they should! Giving my clients all my knowledge is very important and it's my job. Going through steps A-Z on what products to use, heat settings, techniques etc!
+What advice do you have for other stylists?
Be yourself! & post what you want. I think in this day n age many people get very caught up in social media and wanting to have that huge following, and the best hair pics. But all you really need is some good lighting and a phone camera! It's your art so show it how you want to and don't get caught up in the "what if's" cause when you do you will overthink and don't let that happen! Just post.
+What do you feel is the most valuable part of being a BCU member?
All the learning! I am so grateful for all the videos and intel I have received from BCU! I joined right out of beauty school and in many times, BCU was my saving grace in all things learning behind the chair!
BCU taught me more than my months in beauty school!
