Let's get to know Josseline! She's a lived in blonde and layered hair cut specialist out of Virginia Beach, VA. You can find her on Instagram at @jossydelpescehair. I asked Josseline a few questions so I could learn more about her and her journey. Check out our conversation below!!
+How long have you been doing hair?
I graduated from Paul Mitchell of Charleston in 2022, I then assisted & had my first born son! I've been full time behind the chair since August of 2023. You can find me at Haven Beauty Lounge Monday-Thursday.
+Tell me about yourself. Are you a salon owner? Booth renter? Commission stylist? What is your specialty behind the chair. What are your goals?
I'm a commission stylist that specializes in lived in blondes and layered hair cuts! I am currently working towards building my clientele. Way down the road I hope to specialize in hair extensions.
+What's been the best advice you have ever received?
The best advice I have ever received was to surround myself with the right people. You truly are who you surround yourself with. I love being around like minded individuals who are passionate about this career & want the best for their peers & their guests.
+What do you feel is your greatest strength?
My greatest strength behind the chair is listening to my clients goals and giving them the tools to reach them. I love educating my clients on how they can make healthier choices with their hair.
The best part is seeing improvement at their next appointment.
+What advice do you have for other stylists?
Dream BIG. Don't let fear get in the way of your next steps. Also always continue learning, & study your notes even if you think you've got it down.
+What do you feel is the most valuable part of being a BCU member?
The most valuable part of being a BCU member has been having Carly as a mentor. She is the BEST at answering questions and guiding you through a project. No question is silly to her and she is the best cheerleader! No matter where you are in your career, BCU has education for everyone.
