Things I do when I check a foil

CHECKING FOILS IS SO IMPORTANT!!

Here’s what I do when I check a foil:

👉🏼 CLIP IT IN PLACE: this little hack is SO helpful so that you have a working area instead of the foil falling and bleach transferring & dripping

👉🏼 WIPE OFF EXCESS BLEACH: this helps me to get a really clear picture of how the hair has actually lifted

👉🏼 CHECK THE HAIR HEALTH: if the hair is stretchy, it’s over processed and the lightener needs to come off

👉🏼 CHECK THE LIFT: I make sure to get a really clear picture of the lift. I’ll even wipe the section with a towel to get really clear on the lift (I’m going for a neutral, bright blonde, so this section is about 15 minutes away from being ready to rinse!)

👉🏼 REAPPLY: if the hair needs more lift, I’ll reapply lightener and let it keep processing
