Two things that help me avoid overthinking
Chronic over thinker here 🙋🏼♀️
Here are a few things that helped me do a little bit less overthinking:
SIMPLE SECTIONING – when I do elaborate sectioning, I start to lose track of how the hair will actually look when it is in its natural fall position. I always like to apply color with the hair parted as close to how it’s usually parted as possible!
APPLYING THE COLOR WITH THE END RESULT IN MIND – when I apply each foil I am considering how I want the end result to look. Do I want the blonde to start higher in the sections closer to the face and start lower down on the sections in the back? I’ll paint my lightener on at an angle and apply my root melt in more of a teardrop placement to reflect that. Do I want the bright pops to be super rooty instead of starting higher up closer to the roots? I’ll be sure to keep that in mind when I’m applying color.
