Want to get better at lowlights? Try these two things:
Lowlights, and going darker over blondes in general, was my nightmare for so many years 😅 I had a few low lighting mess ups and they really scarred me 🤣
Formulation was a HUGE part of what helped me get better, but there were 2 things that I started doing that really helped me feel more confident about my results.
⚡️Applyling lowlights starting in the back of the head: I do this because I can get some lowlights in and check out how they’re looking before I start applying in the front of the head. Do I need to make my formula darker? Warmer? If so, I tweak it slightly and then move onto the front of the head.
⚡️Doing a test strand: I do have my go to formulas that never fail me, but if I’m working on hair that’s extremely porous or I’m slightly unsure about how the end result come out, I do a test strand. Test strands aren’t just for lightening!!
