Why I love demi permanent color for grey coverage

Demi permanent color to blend grey is my go to in 99% of situations (unless the client is adamant about having 100% opaque coverage. In that case, I use permanent color!)

➡️ I LOVE IT BECAUSE:

👉🏼 it’s more natural looking - demi permanent color is so much less opaque and looks so much more dimensional than permanent color!

👉🏼 the grow out is softer & more subtle - since the coverage is so much more dimensional, the line of demarcation is much softer and less harsh

👉🏼 it *can* be easier to lift through - in most cases, lightening through demi permanent color is a bit easier than lifting through permanent color. I put CAN, because there are cases where demi permanent color is tough to lift through. Like if you’re using a level 4 demi permanent color every 6 weeks, that will still be tough to lighten.

👉🏼 my go to for this is Schwarzkopf Igora Vibrance with 13 volume (an alkaline demi that has more ability to shift & swell the cuticle will be the best bet)
👉🏼 I love combining a -0 and a -1 and I match their natural level
