Why I use a brush instead of a comb for teasing

color technique

This was one of those tiny shift, major improvement kind of things. A few years ago I picked up a brush that was intended for teasing hair for up styles and tried using it for my lived in looks. And IT WAS PERFECT!! So, I created my own 🥹

➡️ HERE’S WHY I LOVE THE BRUSH:

👉🏼 The brush has stacked bristles that are very close together so it’s really moving the hair. With the comb I felt like I couldn’t push back as much hair as I wanted to. Or if I could, it took sooo many passes over the hair to get the amount of hair teased that I wanted.
👉🏼 The brush helps so much with thick, straight hair that was hair to tease. The texture of the synthetic and boar bristles instead of plastic teeth in the comb helped me with hard to tease textures.
👉🏼 The brush has a thicker, plastic tail (instead of a thinner metal or plastic one that combs have) which helped me sooo much to take heavier weaves. I really used to struggle with doing 82728282 babylights (when I really needed to be doing less foils and heavier weaves for the looks I wanted to achieve) so the thicker comb makes it tough to do little itty bitty babylights and forces me to take a bit chunkier weave.
👉🏼 The tease is a bit softer (and I don’t have to do as many passes over the hair) so I feel like it’s easier to brush out
